Why BYOD?
Bring Your Own Device There is increasing awareness of the need to equip our students with a skill set that befits the emerging technological future. Teachers and students face the challenge of using technology to its potential and therefore St Joseph’s is implementing a BYOD Policy in 2015. This will affect the students currently enrolled in Years 7, 9 and 10 (Year 8 will continue with the Buy Back Option implemented in 2014).
St Joseph’s Curriculum Framework outlines the school’s commitment to providing the highest standards of education to our students. The Framework highlights the need to have innovative learning environments and virtual environments. To meet the learning needs of our students and prepare them for the future, a personal device becomes an essential learning tool.
